The park is a sign of friendship between the countries of Myanmar and Norway. The park is also a symbol of the values promoted by Aung San Suu Kyi through the decades of leadership, in confinement as well as in office.

The core of our park vision is to see the development of what we call “the park in our hearts”. Please read more in our Park Vision document and enjoy our page!

The primary purpose of the Aung San Suu Kyi Peace Park in Norway,  located at the far north end of the world, is to mobilize people of this world to work together through this park. It was the initiative by the union for the people who demand the end of civil wars for a long time for all races in all nations and eternal union peace. It was also to work together without the discrimination of race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, skin colour, and class.

Since the opening of the Aung San Suu Kyi Peace Park in 2016, in Froland, Norway, many peace travellers from Myanmar and all over the world visited the park.  At the same time, every year on Aung San Suu Kyi’s birthday, June 19th, local and international artists, musicians, politicians, and religious leaders from various ethnic backgrounds with dedications to peace come together to celebrate at the park.

Additionally, peace travellers, who were unable to visit the park physically, visited the park via Aung San Suu Kyi Park Facebook page to pleasantly enjoy peaceful music and scenery. When COVID-19 pandemic occurred, there is an increase in the number of people who joined the Aung San Suu Kyi Park Facebook page. COVID-19 has brought what many refer to as the “new normal,” and to accommodate this new human culture efficiently to continue the work in harmony, we are launching a website for the park, asskpark.com, on Aung San Suu Kyi’s birthday.

We warmly welcome all the peace travellers around the world to enjoy this website regularly.
